Job summary

MasTec Civil Infrastructure is seeking a Project Superintendent for a night shift on a highway/bridge project in Lakeland, FL. You will supervise field construction, manage crews, and coordinate with engineers and inspectors to ensure safe, on-time completion within budget.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree with 5+ years in heavy construction, including bridge/road and DOT work. FDOT knowledge and PMP are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum five years’ experience in heavy construction with bridge/road/DOT exposure.
• FDOT knowledge/experience preferred; PMP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all aspects of bridge construction projects from start to finish.
• Oversee daily field operations, manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Review bridge design plans and ensure adherence to specifications.
• Ensure safety compliance and regulatory standards on all projects.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, inspectors, and PMs for timely completion.
• Monitor schedules and budgets; address delays and issues promptly.
• Lead field staff and supervise subcontractors to maintain workflow.
• Maintain detailed project records and progress updates.
• Conduct safety inspections and enforce safety protocols.
