Job summary

MetroHealth Rehabilitation Institute is seeking a Patient Care Nurse Assistant for the 8N Neuro Trauma Recovery Brain Injury Unit. You will assist patients with personal hygiene, meals, and vital signs while collaborating with RNs, therapists, and social workers in a high-acuity inpatient setting.

The role supports patients with TBI and related injuries on the 8N unit, works 7p-7a with rotating weekends and holidays, and contributes to a multidisciplinary team delivering patient-centered care in

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work in a team with good judgment, flexibility, initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with all aspects of personal hygiene, eating and drinking.
• Answering call lights and taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, and other parameters as instructed).
• Performing/transmitting basic ECG and phlebotomy.
