Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Patient Care Nurse Assistant for the Medical Intensive Care Unit, 8 West. You will assist patients with hygiene, feeding, and mobility while monitoring vitals and supporting nursing staff in a high acuity environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and active BLS; STNA/ODH registry preferred. Prior hospital experience is a plus; rotating shifts with nights/weekends may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work in a team and demonstrate good problem-solving skills.
• Current AHA BLS certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• STNA certification or ODH Nurse Aide Registry preferred after employment.
• 1 year hospital experience as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with all aspects of personal hygiene, eating and drinking.
• Answer call lights and take vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, etc.).
• Perform/transmit basic ECG and phlebotomy.
