Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a Patient Care Nurse Assistant for the Neuro Trauma Recovery Brain Injury Unit (8N) in Cleveland. You will assist with personal care, monitor vital signs, and support clinical teams in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

The role requires strong teamwork, ability to read patient cues, and adherence to safety protocols. High school diploma or GED and BLS certification within 90 days are required. Rotation includes evenings with weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to work in a team environment with good judgment and initiative.
• Current AHA/BLs Basic Life Support certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with personal hygiene, eating and drinking.
• Responding to call lights and taking vital signs.
• Performing/transmitting basic ECG and phlebotomy.
