Job summary

MetroHealth Rehabilitation Institute – Old Brooklyn is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Neuro Trauma Recovery Spinal Cord Injury unit (6N). Shift is 7p-7a with rotating weekends and holidays, offering a bi-weekly schedule of 72 hours.

You will care for SCI patients with ventilator/trach support, wound care, SCI retraining, and education for patients and families, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN license in Ohio.
• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for SCI rehab patients on 6N with ventilator/trach support.
• Collaborate with PT/OT, social workers, and therapy staff to support rehabilitation plans.
• Deliver wound prevention and care as part of unit protocols.
• Educate patients and families on rehabilitation goals and therapies.
• Monitor patient status and respond to clinical changes promptly.
