Job summary

Atkore's Dallas, TX plant is seeking a Blending Operator I for the night shift (6:45 PM–7:00 AM). You will blend PVC compound from raw materials according to formulas, supporting extrusion operations.

Responsibilities include reading production schedules, routing materials, adjusting blender controls, operating forklifts, coordinating with maintenance, production, and purchasing, and helping with monthly raw material inventory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with extrusion or ability to quickly learn PVC extrusion operations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good understanding of basic math for counting and calculations.
• Attention to detail, time management, and organization.

Responsibilities

• Read production schedules to plan blending and storage requirements.
• Estimate compound needs to support extrusion and route materials efficiently.
• Adjust blender controls and hoses for correct daily inventory reporting.
• Safely operate forklifts to move materials to/from blender area and scales.
• Communicate with Maintenance, Production, Accounting, and Purchasing daily.
• Perform maintenance and cleanup for blending and storage areas.
• Assist with monthly raw material inventory and input for purchasing.
