Job summary

Atkore International in Dallas, TX is seeking a Blending Operator I for the night shift (6:45 PM–7:00 AM) to blend PVC compounds per formulas, read the production schedule, and support extrusion operations.

Responsibilities include adjusting blender controls, operating forklifts to move materials, coordinating with Maintenance, Production, Accounting and Purchasing, and performing blending area maintenance and cleanup.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with PVC extrusion or ability to learn quickly.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong basic math for counting and calculations.
• Attention to detail, time management, and organization.
• Mechanical aptitude for maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Read production schedule to plan blending and storage requirements.
• Estimate compound needs to support extrusion and route materials efficiently.
• Adjust blender controls and hoses for accurate daily blends.
• Safely operate forklifts to move materials to blending areas and scale.
• Communicate with Maintenance, Production, Accounting and Purchasing daily.
• Perform maintenance and cleanup of blending and storage areas.
• Assist with monthly raw material inventory and support purchasing.
