Job summary

GE Vernova in Grand Forks, North Dakota, seeks an assembly worker for the blade assembly process. Responsibilities include following work instructions, applying safety measures, and utilizing hand tools effectively. Candidates must be able to lift 40 lbs and stand for long periods.

This role operates on a shift from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with a competitive pay range of $22.88-$27.50 per hour. Benefits include health coverage, retirement plans, tuition assistance, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift or carry objects or materials up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull heavy objects and work with hands for an extended period.
• Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Knowledge of the department area.
• Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
• Requires wearing of respirator.

Responsibilities

• Follow the work instructions.
• Wear the appropriate PPE and follow all health and safety instructions regarding chemical usage.
• Remove access tape and material from lightening cable inside the blade.
• Apply zip ties to lightening cable according to work instructions.
• Take out stay bolts from the ring on the root of the blade.
• Insert plugs into bushings around the root to avoid dust in the bushing.
• Two individuals place donut inside the blade utilizing sika.
• Use hand tools/scraper to even out sika that is applied to the edge of the donut.
• Maintain 5s Standards.
