Job summary

Social Influence LLC is seeking an experienced Assistant Bindery Supervisor to support daily operations in a high-volume commercial printing and finishing environment. You will assist the Bindery Supervisor with coordinating production, assigning work, and troubleshooting equipment issues to ensure on-schedule delivery.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in bindery operations, mechanical troubleshooting, and production leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in commercial printing bindery or finishing operations.
• Strong understanding of bindery equipment and production processes.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read job tickets, layouts, measurements, and production specifications.
• Ability to organize workloads and manage competing production priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily bindery operations including cutting, folding, stitching, die cutting, gluing, and hand assembly
• Coordinate employee assignments based on production schedules and equipment availability
• Review job tickets, production specifications, samples, and schedules
• Monitor production workflow and identify potential delays or bottlenecks
• Assist operators with equipment setup, troubleshooting, and production issues
• Coordinate with Maintenance to address equipment problems and minimize downtime
• Monitor finished products for accuracy, quality, counts, dimensions, folding, and trimming
• Train and coach employees on proper equipment operation and production procedures
• Enforce safety standards, machine guarding requirements, housekeeping, and company policies
• Support communication between bindery and other production departments
• Assist with production records, waste tracking, and shift reporting
• Provide leadership and direction when the Bindery Supervisor is unavailable
