Qualifications

• Knowledge of bindery equipment setup, operation, and troubleshooting.

• Strong mechanical aptitude, communication, and attention to detail.
• Ability to coach employees and improve department efficiency.
• Proficiency with computers for scheduling and production reporting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate bindery production based on job requirements, equipment availability, staffing, and deadlines.
• Supervise, train, and support bindery operators and production employees.
• Review job tickets and communicate setup instructions, quality standards, and production priorities.
• Assist with equipment setups, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor finished products for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with customer specifications.
• Track department output, waste, downtime, and labor utilization.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and communicate repair needs.
• Work with the pressroom, mailroom, and shipping teams to keep jobs moving through production.
• Maintain safe work practices and an organized department.
