Lassonde Pappas & Co. in Sparta, Michigan is seeking a Blender - 2nd shift to ensure proper blend of concentrates per customer specs. This full-time role supports food safety and quality, including SQF monitoring.

You will follow blending guidelines, perform quality checks (brix, pH, color), weigh ingredients, and help maintain sanitation and regulatory requirements. This position offers benefits and opportunities for growth within our manufacturing team.

Qualifications

• Six months of manufacturing experience.
• Must be proficient in mathematics.
• Experience in the food/beverage industry (preferred).
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow blending guidelines to adhere to specifications.
• Match color and flavor and other quality attributes; weigh ingredients for batches.
• Perform quality checks on batches (brix, acid, pH, sensory, color) and adjust as needed.
• Resolve errors related to batches.
• Sanitize tanks and rooms; move drums/totes for disposal or storage.
• Maintain food safety, food quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Notify management about actual or potential food safety issues.
• Adhere to SQF requirements and work with supervision to resolve issues.
• Taste test products as needed (up to a couple of ounces).
• Perform other related duties as required.
