Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates or Bachelors in Psychology/Social Work preferred.
• Nursing Assistant certification accepted.
• BLS from the American Heart Association required.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides safety-focused patient care, preserves dignity and fosters a therapeutic environment.
• Assists with admissions, orients patient to room, and secures belongings.
• Assists with transfers/discharges; records vital signs and reports changes.
• Obtains and monitors vital signs; reports abnormalities to nurse.
• Assists with ADLs and personal care as needed.
• Assists with holds, restraints, and seclusion after NCI training.
• Engages patients through group activities and documentation.
• Participates in rounding, observation, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Supports cost containment and collaborates with medical staff.
