Job summary

Pinelands-Recovery-Center-of-Medfor is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech I (BHT I) to assist patients from admission through discharge and contribute to treatment planning. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, patient interventions, leading psychoeducational groups, and supporting clinical teams.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), a valid driver's license, CPI, CPR/AED/First Aid certifications, and is based in Medford, NJ with a Friday-Monday night schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted State Driver's License.
• Must obtain and maintain CPI certification within 90 days of hire, training provided.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR, AED, and First Aid, training provided.
• Substance Use Division: Minimum 1 year sobriety if in recovery.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all DBH policies and procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and records; and of facility/company proprietary, privileged, and/or confidential information.
• Facilitates patient daily needs per the program schedule, including waking/bedtime routines, meals, hygiene, and safety observations.
• Assists Nursing staff with duties as directed, e.g. supervision, vitals, searches.
• Recognizes, responds to crisis situations and provides interventions as appropriate.
• Documents shift notes, group notes, and other required documentation by end of shift.
• Maintains an organized, safe environment and performs basic housekeeping duties.
• Participates in facility and grounds checks and reports irregularities or safety concerns.
• Responsible for scheduled shifts and finding coverage if a shift cannot be worked.
• Attends staff meetings and in-service trainings; completes online trainings.
