Pinelands Recovery Center of Medford in Medford, NJ seeks a Behavioral Health Technician I to support patients throughout treatment, assist nursing staff, and monitor safety in a 24-hour milieu. The role emphasizes confidentiality, teamwork, and adherence to facility policies.

Responsibilities include conducting intakes, overseeing patient meds (where applicable), transporting patients, and leading daily groups when directed by leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid and unrestricted Driver's License if applicable.
• Minimum of 1 year sobriety if in recovery.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to document in an electronic system.
• First Aid/CPR certification within 30 days of hire with annual recertification.
• De-escalation/restraint technique certification within 90 days with yearly recertification.
• Medication training within 30 days if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all DBH policies and procedures.
• Provide patient safety and milieu interventions; support patients through treatment.
• Assist Nursing staff with duties such as supervision, vitals, and searches.
• Monitor patient activity and document significant issues.
• Facilitate daily groups as directed by leadership.
• Perform transportation for patients when pre-qualified to drive.
• Complete intake processes and drug screen observations as directed.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and records.
