Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Kansas seeks a Behavioral Health CNA for night shifts at Saint John Hospital in Leavenworth. You will assist patients with daily activities, monitor behaviors, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment alongside the care team.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Minimum six months’ experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting and ambulation.
• Monitor and report changes in behavior, mood, or physical condition to nurses.
• Use de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe, structured environment.
• Document behaviors, interventions, and vital signs accurately.
• Encourage participation in group activities and provide emotional support.
• Maintain patient rooms and ensure supplies and equipment are stocked.
