Job summary

American Social - Fort Lauderdale is seeking an experienced bartender to join our front-of-house team. You will greet guests, describe menu items, take orders, and prepare drinks precisely according to recipes while ensuring guest satisfaction.

You must be at least the legal age to serve alcohol, have 3 years of bartender experience, and be able to work late-night shifts (potentially 12 AM–4 AM). Fluency in English and an Alcohol Awareness Certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must meet local, legal minimum age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• 3 years of experience as a Bartender.
• Ability to work Late Night shifts, potentially between 12 AM – 4 AM.
• Fluent in English; able to speak, read, write.
• Alcohol Awareness Certification required.
• Food handling certificate a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and provide excellent service.
• Guide guests through beverage and food ordering, making recommendations.
• Prepare drink orders according to recipes or special requests.
• Deliver beverages and food while maintaining engagement and ensuring a positive experience.
• Ensure orders are accurate and handle payments at close.
• Adhere to liquor laws and request valid IDs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar and dining areas.
• Stock supplies and operate POS for orders and takeouts.
• Collaborate with FOH and BOH teams and support marketing initiatives.
