Pratt Industries is seeking an entry-level BANDER OPERATOR for the 3rd shift (10PM-6AM) in Wichita, KS. Starting rate is $20.60 per hour with shift differential.

Responsibilities include operating the unitizer, correct banding, scanning barcodes, and maintaining production flow. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: corrugated industry experience.
• Preferred: 6 months in Press/Finishing Department.
• Preferred: forklift operator experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate the unitizer and related equipment, ensuring proper banding and stretch wrap.
• Ensure correct placement of unit tags and cover sheets and proper stacking patterns.
• Scan barcodes on units moving through the unitizer.
• Maintain neat units with appropriate number of bands.
• Maximize equipment utilization within capacity and speed constraints.
• Complete reports (Production Data, Machine Status, Safety Data, Quality Data) accurately and timely.
• Ensure unit quantities are correct and pull excess scrap as needed.
• Operate forklift safely when required.
• Submit maintenance orders and support proactive equipment upkeep.
• Adhere to production schedule and suggest improvements to meet cost, quality, and service goals.
