Belcan Corporation is seeking an Automotive Mechanic II for night shift in Dearborn, MI. The role runs 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm on weekdays, with weekends as needed. Duration is 6 months, pay range $21–$23 per hour. Immediate start. Benefits and pay are discussed during offer, with standard eligibility requirements.

The candidate will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles in a prototype environment, performing a wide range of tasks and collaborating with team members and customers as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years of work experience as a Mechanic.
• Knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Has own tools with rolling toolbox and able to work overtime and weekends.
• Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicle condition by following repair orders and inspections.
• Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts.
• Read, interpret, and follow service procedures.
• Maintain vehicle records and service orders.
• Keep shop equipment operating and perform preventive maintenance.
• Participate in daily shop organization and cleanup.
