Job summary

Belcan Corporation in Livonia, MI is seeking an Automotive Mechanic II. The role involves diagnosing, repairing and maintaining vehicles in a prototype setting, starting at 6am with a pay range of $21–$23 per hour. This 6-month contract requires independent work and teamwork with customers and peers.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of four years as a mechanic, possess shop equipment knowledge, and own rolling toolbox. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years mechanic experience.
• Prefer certificate in automotive tech and ASE/state certifications.
• Own tools and ability to work overtime/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicle condition by following repair orders and inspections.
• Repair mechanical/electrical systems and replace parts.
• Read and follow service procedures.
• Maintain vehicle records of service and repairs.
• Keep shop equipment operating through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Participate in daily shop organization and cleanup.
