Job summary

Amentum in Davenport, IA is seeking a 3rd shift Automotive Mechanic IV to join our facility maintenance team. Typical schedule is 11:00 pm - 7:30 am, Monday–Friday, with hours varying based on business demand.

You will repair and maintain forklifts and other material handling equipment; troubleshoot mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems; perform preventive maintenance and log activities. Requirements: high school diploma and five years’ experience; ability to work at heights up to 30 feet.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
• Five years of experience in the repair and maintenance of fork trucks, material handling equipment or automobiles.
• Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.

Responsibilities

• Remove, repair and replace motors, pumps, drive unit and brake systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and complete monthly PM’s and work orders.
• Maintain professional and courteous customer relations including client vendor and internal team.
