Job summary

Lilly is seeking an Engineering Automation Technician for the Night shift to provide hands-on mechanical, electrical, and automation support on OEM filling equipment. You will troubleshoot PLC/HMI, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining a qualified state and ensuring safety and cGMP compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a technical field and leadership experience, with on-site duties in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline or equivalent automation experience.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of highly automated manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with PLC/HMI platforms and industrial instrumentation.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and document effectively.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line mechanical automation and electrical support for OEM filling equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC/HMI and automation hardware and restore equipment to service.
• Investigate recurring faults and production delays.
• Plan and execute equipment and automation improvements and coordinate vendors.
• Ensure safety, cGMP compliance, and site procedures.
• Document issues, root causes, and corrective actions.
• Support standard work, tools, and training across Operations and Engineering.
• Create maintenance action plans and review equipment condition.
