Job summary

Serv-U-Success in Defiance, OH is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead shifts, and drive exceptional store experiences. You will partner with the Store Manager to coach teams, execute merchandising plans, and ensure safety and customer focus.

This full-time night-shift role pays $18–$20 per hour, plus a $1 shift premium for hours between 8pm and 5am. Availability on weekdays and weekends is required, with opportunities for growth and leadership development.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• Two or more years of retail, grocery, merchandising, or customer service experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations, including merchandising, product resets, remodels, and special projects.
• Lead assigned shifts and serve as Manager on Duty when needed.
• Coach, train, and motivate team members while reinforcing company standards and best practices.
• Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed on schedule.
• Build positive relationships with customers, store leadership, and team members.
• Promote a culture of safety by modeling safe work practices and maintaining clean, organized work areas.
• Utilize company technology and reporting systems to support daily operations and project execution.
