Job summary

Located in Sanford, NC, Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a 3rd Shift Assembly Production Manager to lead a high-volume production line, improve processes, and uphold safety and quality standards.

This role involves scheduling, staffing, and coordinating materials to meet production goals on the 7:30 PM–5:30 AM shift. The successful candidate will apply Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methods, drive performance management, and develop a capable manufacturing team within a global equipment

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-person production team on a 3rd shift.
• Ensure safety, quality, and adherence to schedules.
• Schedule and allocate resources to meet production demands.
• Coordinate materials procurement and preventative maintenance.
• Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and internal training initiatives.
• Drive workforce development and section value stream mapping.
