Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Pontiac, IL seeks a Production Manager to lead hourly teams across Machining, Assembly, and Test. You will direct up to 30 technicians, manage shift teams, and drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include budgeting, staffing strategies, scheduling, and ensuring SPQVC excellence while coordinating across 1st–3rd shifts. Relocation assistance is available; on-site five days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Manufacturing leadership experience is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of machining and assembly processes is a plus.
• Experience leading hourly teams in a factory setting.

Responsibilities

• Create reports on production processes, issues, performance, and inventory.
• Maintain procedures and safety/quality documentation; ensure standards.
• Supervise daily activities of production workers and coordinate teams.
• Train new hires, manage scheduling, monitor safety, and promote teamwork.
