Job summary

Powell is seeking an Assembler to join our steady manufacturing team in Houston, TX. You will assemble electrical units, switchgear and other Powell products following engineering drawings and work instructions, ensuring quality and conformity to specs.

You will handle mechanical components, perform in-process inspections, operate hand and power tools, and maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to ISO standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Read a tape measure and interpret fractions/decimals.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of hand/power tools.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components per drawings and specs.
• Maintain and use tools properly.
• Conduct in-process inspections to ensure quality.
• Prepare shipments and split gear as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and participate in safety meetings.
