Job summary

Powell is seeking an Electrical Assembler in Houston, TX to assemble and install electrical conduits, wiring, and devices in power control rooms. The role follows a four 10s schedule: Monday–Thursday, 2:30pm–1:00am, performing tasks from bending to terminating conduits.

You will read blueprints, operate hand and power tools, and maintain strict safety and quality standards while supporting a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 1 year of related manufacturing experience or equivalent.
• Basic command of English, written and verbal.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Knowledge of air, hand, and power tools.
• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical devices such as disconnects, lights, panel boards, transformers, battery chargers, and VFDs.
• Bend, run, and install conduit (EMT and rigid).
• Install wireway and cable tray.
• Pull wires and large cables; cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires.
• Follow standard work/process instructions (NEC).
• Maintain safety and manufacturing policies to ensure quality and productivity.
• Keep work areas clean and well organized.
