Job summary

Nemco Food Equipment, LTD. in Kentucky is seeking an assembler to join our production team. This role requires reading blueprints, aligning components, using hand tools and power tools, and performing quality checks to assemble complex machines.

You will support Lean initiatives, maintain a clean and safe workspace, and work within a small team. Training lasts about 3 weeks before moving to the 3rd shift, Sunday night through Friday morning.

Qualifications

• Blueprints and schematics reading skills are required.
• Ability to read written instructions and procedures.
• Experience with hand or power tools.
• Perform quality checks and maintain clean work area.
• Operate machinery and set up lines.
• Understand cycle time and lean principles.
• Willingness to learn multiple product lines and lead teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and follow specific written instructions and procedures.
• Position or align components and parts manually or with hand tools.
• Use hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
• Conduct quality control checks.
• Clean and maintain work area, tools, and other equipment.
• Set up and operate machinery.
• Learn multiple product lines and their assemblies.
• Create good teamwork through proper leadership techniques.
• Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process.
• Understands Cycle Time and Line Balancing Concepts.
• Ensuring safety, quality and productivity standards are met.
