Job summary

Iovance Biotherapeutics is seeking an Aseptic Manufacturing Technician I for night shift in Philadelphia, PA, on a contract-to-hire basis. The role supports autologous TIL manufacturing, requiring aseptic gowning, GMP standards, and cross-functional teamwork in a cleanroom environment.

The technician will perform suite preparation, material transfers, environmental monitoring, BSC runner duties, product inspection, and cryopreservation, with potential weekend/overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 0-1 year of experience in biopharmaceutical GMP manufacturing operations, including aseptic techniques and related processes.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English especially for GDP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
• Ability to accurately perform arithmetic calculations and basic algebraic tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of GMP cell therapy manufacturing processes and execute them proficiently.
• Complete training sessions and ensure training documentation is maintained.
• Adhere to GMP, SOPs, GDP and quality standards.
• Provide operational support including materials stocking, kit preparation, room readiness and equipment cleaning.
• Perform BSC runner duties and final product inspection, and cryopreservation as needed.
• Conduct in-suite environmental monitoring and document with electronic systems.
• Maintain gowning qualifications, participate in daily Tier 1 meetings, and work well in a team or independently.
