Job summary

Worklane GmbH seeks an experienced Area Manager for its warehouse/distribution operations in Lithia Springs, GA. You will oversee shipping, receiving, storing of materials, and finished goods, while upholding ResMed’s standards and values in safety, quality, customer experience and productivity.

You will manage labor forecasts, supervise staff, ensure inventory integrity, and drive continuous improvement across processes. A strong background in WMS/Oracle and OSHA rules is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a warehouse/distribution environment.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience implementing inventory control systems, distribution operations programs and continual improvement programs.
• Strong familiarity with MS Office applications.
• Prior WMS experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to warehousing and shipping environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer-centric commitment to build and maintain customer relationships.
• Energetic, self-motivated, and quick thinking with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support safety programs to ensure a safe work environment.
• Review forecasts and determine labor needs to meet objectives.
• Balance labor to operate a balanced and efficient shift while meeting deadlines.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and elimination of non-value added activities.
• Ensure proper staff training to meet customer demand and shift needs.
• Mentor and motivate hourly workforce.
• Ensure materials are received, stored, and shipped in a timely manner.
• Maintain quality objectives within budget and deadlines while staying efficient.
• Manage inventory control for accountability of materials and goods.
• Establish clear communications with team to align with organizational needs.
• Modify operational methods and procedures as needed.
• Recommend policy changes to improve area performance.
• Maintain documentation and reports reflecting department effectiveness.
• Set and manage team goals to exceed departmental objectives.
• Collaborate with peers and management to solve cross-functional issues.
• Manage product traceability systems (WMS/Oracle) for customer and quality requirements.
• Ensure health, safety and cleanliness of the work environment and equipment maintenance.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
