Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking an Anesthesia Technician for the night shift in Charleston, SC. The role supports licensed anesthesia providers by preparing and maintaining patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems, and by assembling equipment for procedures.

Responsibilities include assisting with acquisition and application of anesthesia equipment and performing related patient care tasks for patients from infancy to geriatrics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent as a minimum.
• Direct patient care experience in healthcare or related field preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certified or must obtain within specified time.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed anesthesia providers with preparation and maintenance of monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems.
• Assist in acquisition, preparation, assembly and application of anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Perform technical and supportive patient care tasks for anesthesia procedures from infancy to geriatrics.
• Maintain compliance with BLS and MUHA competency requirements.
