Job summary

Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs in Claremore is seeking an Advanced Certified Medication Aide (ACMA) for full-time night shifts at the Claremore Veterans Home. You will deliver direct patient care under nursing supervision, perform vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

Two years of patient care experience and Oklahoma CMA-A certification (or CNA with CMA track) are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in providing patient care.
• Current CMA certification in Oklahoma (CMA-A) is required.
• Must be in good standing with the Oklahoma State Department of Health as a CNA/CMA.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, assist with activities of daily living and hygiene needs.
• Chart observations and report pertinent changes in the patient’s condition.
• Escort patients and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Assist with supplies and basic clerical tasks.
• Participate in follow-up and scheduling activities.
