Job summary

Banner University Medical Center Phoenix is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our hospitalist team in a collaborative, academic environment with medical students, residents and fellows. You will provide high-quality, patient-centered inpatient care across the hospitalized adult population.

The role emphasizes teamwork, interdisciplinary rounds, and commitment to safety and timely care in a top-tier academic medical center partnered with Banner Health.

Qualifications

• Current State of Arizona license or in process.
• DEA with prescriptive authority required.
• CPR, BLS and ACLS current.
• Open to new graduates with related experience.
• Acute Care, Cardiology, GI and/or inpatient experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform histories and physicals, develop differential diagnoses and treatment plans, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications.
• Provide comprehensive care to hospitalized adult patients in collaboration with physicians, residents, nurses and other care team members.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects.
• Maintain documentation in accordance with institutional policies and regulatory standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, discharge planning and coordination of care.
