Job summary

VOALA is seeking an entry-level Monitor to help safeguard shelter premises and participants in the Garden Grove area. The role emphasizes security, front-door monitoring, bag screening, and reporting incidents, with driving duties for licensed monitors as needed.

Applicants should be prepared for on-site duties, be able to pass background checks, and ideally hold a California driver’s license. VOALA offers comprehensive benefits and a path to serve vulnerable populations.

Qualifications

• Must pass fingerprint clearance and background checks.
• Ability to work with difficult or aggressive clients.
• Valid California driver's license preferred or required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor shelter entrance and authorize entry/exit.
• Screen bags and persons entering shelter.
• Patrol premises to prevent intrusions and safeguard doors/windows.
• Maintain shelter safety and report hazards.
• Drive participants as directed (licensed Monitors only).
