Job summary

Allied Universal in San Francisco is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Panel Operations to safeguard residents and staff across shelter facilities. You will perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and respond calmly to incidents while delivering exceptional customer service.

The role emphasizes visibility, adherence to site policies, and collaboration with site leadership to maintain a welcoming, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year security-related experience.
• Must be able to lift 20+ pounds.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Must be 18+ (21+ for armed roles); HS diploma required; background check and drug screen per law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols to deter incidents throughout the shelter location.
• Monitor access points and manage guest entry and restricted areas per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally, escalating as needed.
• Document patrols and incidents and communicate findings to site leadership and Allied Universal.
