Job summary

AdventHealth in Lenexa, KS is seeking a part-time Security Officer to perform security-related duties, respond to alarms, and support emergency operations. The role requires strong observation, reporting, and de-escalation skills in a hospital setting.

Rearms attention to safety protocols, maintains confidentiality, and uses basic hospital software. The position includes night shifts and on-site work at 16950 W 86TH ST, Lenexa, KS 66219.

Responsibilities

• Performs all security-related tasks as assigned and reports to Supervisor.
• Responds to alarms and determines source of alarms.
• Operates and maintains issued equipment including radio devices.
• Provides initial direction and support in emergencies and screens visitors after hours.
• Documents crimes, incidents, and safety irregularities.
• Assesses incidents with age considerations and completes required documents.
• Intercedes in disputes using de-escalation techniques.
• Administers initial first aid as appropriate.
• Other duties as assigned.
