Job summary

AdventHealth Lenexa seeks a part-time Security Officer to perform security-related tasks and monitor facilities during night shifts. You will respond to alarms, manage visitor access after hours, and document incidents with strict adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and follow directions to complete reports.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, penal codes, and codes in documents.
• Excellent communication and de-escalation skills for tense situations.
• High school diploma and valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with security equipment and emergency response preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform security tasks and report unusual activities to supervisor.
• Respond to alarms, identify alarm sources, and provide assistance.
• Operate and maintain security equipment including CCTV and radios.
• Provide initial direction and support in emergencies and lockdowns.
• Screen visitors and employees after hours and document incidents.
• Maintain confidentiality and prepare written records per policy.
