Job summary

Fairmont Pittsburgh is seeking a Security Agent to monitor space and assets, enforce safety protocols, coordinate emergency procedures, and respond rapidly to incidents. You will work across departments to safeguard assets and ensure life safety compliance, while enforcing Covid-19 protocols for colleagues and guests.

The role requires at least 1 year of security experience, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year security experience, preferably in luxury environment.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize needs.
• Excellent problem solving and reasoning capabilities.
• Must act with discretion at all times.
• First aid, AED, and CPR certifications an asset.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent written/verbal communication, with strong focus on documentation.
• Strong guest service orientation.
• Able to balance conflicting priorities while providing guest service.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security of all space and assets throughout shift.
• Work closely with Departments to safeguard assets and ensure compliance in life safety areas.
• Enforce Covid-19 safety protocols for colleagues and guests.
• Initiate and coordinate emergency procedures in emergencies.
• Investigate and report violations to policy, accidents, and incidents.
• Develop and implement internal safety trainings, protocols, and programs.
• Coordinate hotel-wide safety trainings with authorities and vendors.
• Provide rapid response to guest and colleague incidents and emergencies.
• Respond to first aid calls and administer aid as appropriate.
• Ensure clear, concise reporting of incidents and patrols.
• Present for VIP arrivals, departures, and high-profile functions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with security and authorities.
• Participate in briefings and meetings.
• Review daily reports for shift readiness.
• Assist with bag/locker checks and key audits.
• Audit Hotel Key Program procedures.
• Offer professional, engaging, friendly service.
• Other duties as assigned.
