Job summary

Fairmont Pittsburgh is seeking a vigilant Security professional to safeguard guests, colleagues and assets across all spaces. You will coordinate with departments, enforce safety protocols, and respond rapidly to emergencies with professional incident reporting.

The role requires adaptability to shifts, including nights, with a focus on discretion, guest service, and strong safety practices in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year security experience, preferably in a luxury environment.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize needs.
• Strong problem solving and reasoning capabilities.
• Must act with discretion at all times.
• First aid, AED, and CPR certifications an asset.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong written/verbal communication with documentation focus.
• Guest service oriented with ability to balance priorities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security of all space and assets throughout shift.
• Work closely with Departments to safeguard assets and ensure safety compliance.
• Enforce Covid-19 safety protocols for colleagues and guests.
• Initiate and coordinate emergency procedures when needed.
• Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and security concerns.
• Develop and implement internal safety trainings and programs.
• Coordinate hotel-wide safety trainings with authorities and vendors.
• Provide rapid response to guest and colleague incidents and emergencies.
• Record clear, concise incident reports for records.
• Assist management with bag checks and locker procedures.
• Audit Hotel Key Program and ensure procedures are followed.
• Support VIP arrivals, departures, and high-profile events.
