Glenview Public School District 34 in Glenview, IL, seeks a Full-time Night Custodian for the 2026-27 school year to maintain a safe, clean learning environment.

You will disinfect buildings per guidelines, prepare spaces for events, perform basic maintenance, and support security and safety checks. Evening/night shift with weekend/break coverage. High school diploma, 1–2 years of experience, and basic mechanical skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1–2 years related experience.
• Basic mechanical and electrical skills.
• Good communication, interpersonal and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Disinfect school buildings per local/state guidelines.
• Frequently clean classrooms, bathrooms, cafeteria, offices, hallways.
• Set up furniture and rooms for events; clean up afterward.
• Collect and dispose of trash including recycling and hazardous waste.
• Perform basic maintenance and report major repairs.
• Ensure security and safety of building and equipment; unlock/lock doors; HVAC/windows/fire alarms checks; may include weekends/breaks.
• Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal and major cleaning during breaks.
