Job summary

Rantoul City Schools is hiring a Night Shift Custodian (3:00pm - 11:00pm) to keep our school facilities clean, safe, and ready for students.

Starting immediately, you will handle building maintenance, HVAC regulation, snow removal as needed, door checks, and daily classroom cleaning.

Requires a high school diploma and prior custodian experience; apply with the Central Office. This full-time role supports a positive learning environment with district benefits.

Qualifications

• General qualifications include a high school diploma.
• Successful previous experience as a custodian within RCS or comparable experience.
• Demonstrated aptitude and/or competence for assigned responsibilities.
• Alternatives to the above qualifications may be acceptable per the Board.

Responsibilities

• Keep building and premises neat and clean at all times.
• Regulate heat, ventilation, and air conditioning to provide appropriate temperatures and conserve resources.
• Shovel, plow, and sand walks, driveways, parking areas, and steps as needed.
• Check daily that exit doors are open and panic bars function during school hours.
• Sweep classrooms daily and dust furniture.
