Job summary

Decko Products LLC is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor to lead the sanitation crew across two buildings in Sandusky, OH. This working supervisor ensures all rooms and lines are cleaned, documented, and handed back ready for first-shift start-up.

Qualifications

• 3+ years sanitation experience in a food plant with at least 1 year leading a crew.
• Hands-on experience with wet cleaning (kettles, pumps, piping, fillers).
• Familiar with allergen control and GMPs, SSOPs and food safety programs.
• Experience with sanitation record keeping and swab testing.
• Ability to teach, coach and correct staff on the floor.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assign each night’s work across both buildings from production schedule and sanitation plans.
• Lead, train and coach sanitation staff; work alongside them on the floor.
• Walk rooms and inspect lines; ensure readiness for pre-operational inspection.
• Verify allergen and gluten-free changeovers with full procedures and records.
• Maintain dry-clean methods in dry blend areas and manage water usage as needed.
• Own chemical control: dilution, titration, labeling, SDS, inventory, supplier liaison.
• Keep master sanitation schedule current as equipment and lines change.
• Review and sign nightly sanitation records for audits.
• Receive each room from production using end-of-run checklist and hand to shift.
• Enforce lockout/tagout and chemical safety; report incidents.
• Track pass rate, re-cleans, start-up delays and swab results.
• Manage crew attendance, schedules and timekeeping; participate in hiring.
• Lead corrective action when a clean fails; follow up on maintenance needs.
