Job summary

Decko Products is seeking a Sanitation Manager to lead the facility’s sanitation program, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with food safety standards. You will coordinate with FSQA, Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to maintain a robust, audit-ready sanitation system.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 3–5 years in sanitation, and PCQI certification, with strong leadership and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science field is required.
• 3–5 years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing setting, with supervisory work.
• PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual) certification required.
• Strong leadership, accountability, coaching, and team development skills.
• Working knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Part 117 and OSHA standards.
• Experience supporting regulatory and SQF/GFSI audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the facility’s sanitation program to meet standards.
• Develop and maintain sanitation procedures, SSOPs, and work instructions.
• Manage the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and ensure documentation.
• Coach and train sanitation staff and contractors on safety and procedures.
• Ensure sanitation activities comply with regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with FSQA to prep for pre-operational inspections and audits.
• Support Environmental Monitoring Program together with FSQA.
• Oversee chemical usage, storage, and inventory management.
• Monitor performance and drive improvements in sanitation effectiveness.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and FSQA on issues.
• Maintain accurate sanitation records and documentation.
