Louisiana Bridge Builders is seeking a Safety Field Coordinator for night shifts in Lake Charles, LA. The role focuses on supporting field teams, enforcing safety protocols, and cultivating a safety-first culture on site.

The position requires CHST certification or a safety-related degree with 5+ years in heavy civil safety, knowledge of OSHA/ANSI/NFPA, and a valid driver’s license. MOT experience is preferred; relocation and benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Liaison with construction and field teams on safety matters.
• Perform daily field inspections and manage PPE allocation.
• Coach and mentor field supervisors and craft personnel.
• Participate in incident investigations and apply lessons learned.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, state, and local regulations.
• Lead JHAs, risk assessments, and toolbox talks.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure safety standards.
• Act as on-site safety point of contact.
