Job summary

Kansas Health System is seeking an RN - Unit Coordinator for Med/Surg/Tele at Olathe Hospital, nights. You will lead nursing teams, coordinate patient throughput, and ensure staffing to meet care needs while advancing unit performance.

You will collaborate with leadership on hiring, education, and staff evaluations, acting as a clinical mentor and ensuring practice standards, productivity, and budget goals are met.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required for hires after 1 Nov 2025; ADN hires must enroll in BSN within 6 months and complete by year 3.
• BLS or BCLS certification required from American Heart Association.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Kansas or Missouri with Nurse Compact License within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide charge nurse responsibilities including assignments and throughput management.
• Manage a patient care assignment aligned to patient care needs.
• Assist with hiring, education, and performance evaluation of staff.
• Collaborate with Nurse Manager and HR on counseling and discipline.
• Mentor staff and ensure standards are met through monitoring and coaching.
