Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, Idaho, seeks a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Trauma General Surgery Unit. This is a 32-bed step-down unit caring for patients across the full spectrum of acute care surgical procedures and minor trauma cases.

Self Schedule: Full-Time Nights, three 12-hour shifts per week from 7pm to 7am with rotating weekends. This position is eligible for a Sign On Bonus and a Relocation Assistance package.

Qualifications

• A current RN license is required.
• Multistate licenses must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire.
• At hire, Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care in collaboration with members of the health care team in the ongoing assessment, planning and treatment of patients and families.
• Utilizes resources wisely while promoting physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being.
• In addition to providing hands-on nursing care, works and serves in a broad range of capacities including delegation, assessment, planning of care and treatment, teaching of the patient and the patient’s family.
