Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise invites applicants for a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Trauma General Surgery Unit. This 32-bed step-down unit cares for acute surgical patients and minor trauma cases, with three 12-hour night shifts per week (7pm–7am) and rotating weekends.

The role offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. The new care model includes virtual connected care to support bedside nurses and enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• A current RN license is required.
• Multistate licenses must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required at hire. ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care in collaboration with the health care team for assessment, planning and treatment of patients and families.
• Utilizes resources to promote physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being.
• Performs delegation, assessment, planning of care and teaching of the patient and family.

POSITION SUMMARY & HIGHLIGHTS: We are looking for a full time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Trauma General Surgery Unit in Boise! This is a 32 bed step down unit that cares for patients across the full spectrum of acute care surgical procedures and minor trauma cases.

Self Schedule: Full-Time Nights, three 12-hour shifts per week. 7pm - 7am. Rotating Weekends

Locally based virtual RNs (vRNs) provide 24/7 care and help to patients and their families, while collaborating with bedside RNs and care partners to provide excellent care.

What You Will Do

• Provides professional nursing care in collaboration with members of the health care team in the ongoing assessment, planning and treatment of patients and families.
• Utilizes resources wisely while promoting physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being.
• In addition to providing hands‑on nursing care, works and serves in a broad range of capacities including, but not limited to, delegation, assessment, planning of care and treatment, teaching of the patient and the patient’s family.

Minimum Requirements

• A current RN license is required.
