Job summary

Mayo Clinic Arizona’s Progressive Care Unit is a high-acuity 24-bed unit delivering advanced nursing care across neurosurgery, stroke, vascular, ENT, and general surgery.

The RN coordinates direct patient care, educates patients and families, and leads within the Nursing Professional Practice Model. ACLS/BLS certification is required; BSN preferred; strong communication and leadership are valued. Night shifts with 12-hour rotations and weekends are included.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited associate or diploma nursing program.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• ACLS required; must obtain/maintain within specified time after hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care and direct patient care.
• Educate patients and families; manage transitions of care.
• Lead and participate in quality improvement and team communication.
