Job summary

Mayo Clinic Arizona’s Progressive Care Unit is a high-acuity 24-bed unit with specialized monitoring and diverse patient population. The RN coordinates care, educates patients and families, and leads care transitions across the continuum.

This Magnet Facility emphasizes mentorship, leadership, and quality improvement within a collaborative team. We require an RN with a valid license, BLS, and ACLS within 90 days of hire; BSN/MSN preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license by state requirements and current BLS.
• ACLS required within 90 days of hire.
• BSN or MSN preferred; associates/diploma nursing program acceptable.
• Strong communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care and direct patient care across shifts.
• Educate patients and families and manage transitions of care.
• Provide leadership through mentoring and quality improvement activities.
• Demonstrate teamwork and effective communication within the care team.
