Job summary

AdventHealth Ocala, a faith-based community hospital, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Night shift in the Women's Service unit. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, educate families, and coordinate with the medical team to ensure safe, compassionate patient care.

You must hold an Associate's Degree in Nursing, be a licensed RN with BLS, and have 1+ year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• 1+ year acute care hospital experience in a women's service unit is required.
• Registered Nurse license and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and ensure teamwork.
• Document patient information accurately in the medical record.
• Evaluate care plans and adjust to improve outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety compliance.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care to healthcare team members.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and performance improvement.
