Job summary

Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center, a 118-bed acute psychiatric hospital and residential treatment center for youth, seeks RNs for night shifts. You will provide nursing care, document care plans, and administer medications to children and adolescents in a therapeutic setting.

Responsibilities include following program guidelines, admissions/discharges, and ensuring a safe environment; sign-on bonus offered. Laurel Oaks is part of UHS family.

Qualifications

• Must be an actively licensed RN in Alabama.
• Graduate from an accredited RN program (diploma or ADN).
• Current RN license in Alabama is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to psychiatric patients (children and adolescents).
• Document care using established nursing processes.
• Administer medications and monitor effects.
• Follow program guidelines and safety procedures.
• Support admissions, discharges and set up a safe environment; use restraints if necessary.
